Have you ever thought of crossing Italy by bike? We have found the route for you.
From Trieste to Santa Maria di Leuca through many regions and cities of Italy, the B16, the Adriatic Cycle Route
More than 1,300 km of unpaved stretches, asphalted roads and sections of cycle path already in operation.
In the following paragraphs we will illustrate the route through the Veneto region with many useful tips and places to visit.
THE FOREST OF BLADES
When you have reached the village of Sindacale, you are finally in our territory. A land full of vast expanses of crops that stretch as far as the horizon.
Immense fields of large crops, maize, wheat, soya and vineyards. Bright summer colours alternate with the dark browns of soils ready to be worked and brilliant yellows of plants ready for harvest or reaping.
When you are on the Jesolana Road, past the Nicesolo Canal, you will find a road on the left that will lead you to the Bosco delle Lame.
This forest is part of the Pianura Forest Association.
This forest is the most beautiful and most significant example of a lowland forest. It occupies an area of approximately 33 hectares and includes a large agricultural reclamation area, where a major afforestation project was carried out between 1997 and 1999, and a more recent wetland area of 8 hectares.
There is an important biodiversity coexisting in this area.
Tall maples, ash trees, hornbeams, alders and white poplars provide shelter for many species of animals, and along the paths you may encounter squirrels, hares, foxes, pheasants, marsh harriers, swans and roe deer.
In addition, as many as 300 species nest in this area, which is considered one of the most important species restocking areas in the Veneto.
You can lurk at the birdwatching tower and be amazed by the great variety of birds that flutter here and there and, if you are lucky, you may even manage to photograph marsh harriers.
THE FRASSINA APERITIF
Continue south until you come to a small river called Canale Maranghetto.
Follow it along the bank, enjoy the breeze, the salty scents and the colours of the fields.
Go back onto the Jesolana provincial road as far as an overpass and immediately turn left onto Strada Durisi.
At about 1 km on the left you will find a dirt road, follow the sign La Frassina.
A winery that tells a story of winemaking tradition and the peculiarities of the soil, producing wines with the typical characteristics of the Lison Pramaggiore DOC area.
With the collaboration of our friends at La Frassina we can organise wine and food tours and a convention.
THE AGRITURISMO MARANGHETTO , A STOP TO REST
After your long trip, not far from the La Frassina Estate, you will arrive at the Maranghetto Farmhouse, where our staff will be ready to welcome you.

THE AGRITURISMO MARANGHETTO AND ITS SURROUNDINGS
To continue exploring its surroundings, the Maranghetto can suggest several places you must visit, all of which can be reached by bicycle.
CA’ CORNIANI AND THE CYCLOSTATION
Leaving the Agriturismo Maranghetto and turning right, cross the Marango bridge and cycle straight on along Via Sant’Antonio until you reach the Livenza riverbank.
Follow the embankment until you reach the village of Salute di Livenza, turning right over the bridge and then immediately right onto Provincial Road PS62. Follow the embankment in the opposite direction following the road for about 13 km. You will find Ca’ Corniani on your right.
a place where the history of the area is still intact. Where large farms have invested, reclaiming the marshes, making them suitable territory for cultivation and above all creating housing centres for workers.
1851 was the year of rebirth for Ca’ Corniani: Assicurazioni Generali bought the company. Land reclamation work began with the construction of natural drainage canals, until the opening of the waterworks in 1880, with the installation of steam pumps to help with the manual work of land reclamation. Land began to be reclaimed from the water and was dedicated to agriculture. After 1930, the land of the estate had been completely reclaimed. Ca’ Corniani became a real community, with about 3,000 inhabitants, spread between the farm centre and the 80 sharecroppers in the scattered houses.
The company developed one of the first examples of corporate welfare: the inhabitants of the estate were offered jobs, health services, training courses, schools for children and even a recreation centre where they could meet. A pioneering vision of farming based on a sustainable development model.
Today, the farm centre can be visited. you will also find a typical tavern where you can eat. For cycling enthusiasts, you cannot visit the large Ca’ Corniani Cycle Station for a maintenance pitstop or refreshment,
A functional space, it houses bicycle rentals and a rest area, perfect for those who want to refresh themselves after a cycling trip. Changing rooms and showers are also available, a convenient ally after a ride on a hot summer day. At the cycle station you will find the services of Bikeandgo, to be contacted before departure.

Today, the church is located in a location that is, to say the least, picturesque (where the cliff ends and the Levante beach begins), on a promontory that wedges into the Adriatic Sea, and has over time become a place of pilgrimage not only for us Caorle folk, devotees of the Virgin Mary, but also for many believers who come from all over the world.
