Wood of the Blades and the Old Valley Environmental Museum
Wellness and coolness in the nature of Maranghetto
With the first warm weather the desire for nature increases and here at Maranghetto we see our guests shuttling between the beach, the countryside and the woods. Our garden is ready to welcome them at any time of the day, with wooden tables perfect for breakfast, games for the children, sun loungers and plenty of shade provided by the trees.
Those who come to us bringing their bicycles cannot miss a trip to the Lame forest in Concordia Sagittaria, which is only 15 minutes by bike from our farmhouse and takes its name from the Lame canal. What could be more relaxing than walking or cycling in the peace of nature? Around 33 hectares of biodiversity, up to 300 species of birds nest here. The forest is part of the Plain Forest Association, this area was afforested between 1997 and 1999. We recommend climbing the observation tower, which is perfect for birdwatching and photographing from above the varied landscape that stretches between forest, canal and cultivated fields.
If you love this landscape and want to discover its history, you cannot miss the Valle Vecchia Environmental Museumin the Brussa nature park. It is a fifty-minute bike ride from our agriturismo and deals with the historical, naturalistic, management and production aspects of the Valle Vecchia area and the Caorle Lagoon.
Would you like to come and relax and discover our unique landscapes by bicycle? At our agriturismo you will also find a hut to safely store your bikes and pumps to inflate your tyres and set off on new excursions!
